WHAT IS
NOCHE DE ARTE?
Every year the
Canadian Association of Chile hosts Noche
de Arte. The event began as a small gathering at
the home of the Canadian Ambassador 24 years ago to raise
money for local charities. Noche de Arte has now grown
into an eagerly-anticipated Art Sale and wine
tasting attended by over 800 people.
This year's Noche de Arte (NdA) will included 56 Chilean
Artists, many exhibiting at Noche de Arte for the
first time. We invited artists with a broad spectrum
of styles, including oil painting, watercolors,
mixed-media, photography, sculpture, glass work, textile
and ceramics.
Noche de Arte is great fun, but from its
inception its purpose is to raise money
for charities who help women, children and the
elderly in Santiago. Last year we raised over
CLP$23.000.000 (US$50,000) for Canadian
Association-supported projects. Your sponsorship, ticket
purchases and of course, buying art at the event are what
makes the evening so successful.
